📅 1 month till the 26th of February deadline to submit Marsden Funds EOIs and Council Award ‼️
While the Marsden Funds still encourage blue-sky, innovative and ambitious research, this year’s round brought up significant changes which will impact projects and proposals submitted.
⚠️ From now on, submitted proposals have to address how the proposed research could bring economic, environmental or health benefits to New Zealand and why this research is to be undertaken in NZ. Fifty percent of the funds will go towards projects which have the potential the bring economic benefits to NZ.
As a result, the application form now has a “Benefit Categories” section and a “Benefit Statement” section and it is expected of applicants to explore potential and quantifiable impacts and benefits to individual, communities and society rather than scholarly impacts solely.
